Utilizzando onde sottomarine posizionate <strong>nelle profondit\u00e0 del mare al largo della Sicilia<\/strong>, i ricercatori vanno a caccia dei neutrini, messaggeri di segnali provenienti da lontane sorgenti cosmiche. Un lavoro affascinante che apre una finestra sui misteri del cosmo, ma che necessita di essere raccontato con chiarezza e coinvolgimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un progetto complesso che, <strong>in ogni fase della ricerca<\/strong>, dalla realizzazione delle infrastrutture ai risultati ottenuti dalla ricerca scientifica, viene documentato attraverso decine di documenti tecnici e paper molto dettagliati, che sommati tra loro costituiscono ad oggi <strong>un\u2019importante base documentale<\/strong>, di svariate decine di migliaia di pagine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"the-importance-of-communicating-scientific-research\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L'importanza di comunicare la ricerca scientifica al pubblico e all'ecosistema economico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tutto intorno, all\u2019esterno di questo progetto <strong>c\u2019\u00e8 ovviamente un ecosistema territoriale che osserva con grande curiosit\u00e0 e interesse<\/strong> le potenziali ricadute del progetto, soprattutto in termini di accrescimento delle conoscenze, opportunit\u00e0 occupazionali, trasferimento tecnologico, benefici economici e impatti sull'indotto. Inoltre, altri ambiti scientifici come la biologia marina, l'oceanografia, la geofisica e il monitoraggio dell'ambiente e del fondale marino suscitano un forte interesse verso i risultati della ricerca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questo interesse richiede e necessita di una comunicazione attenta, mirata, puntuale che non \u00e8 semplice da portare avanti con continuit\u00e0 perch\u00e9 assorbe molto tempo, <strong>ogni gruppo di interesse necessita di un linguaggio specifico e di un'attenzione particolare diversi aspetti e dettagli<\/strong>, rendendo la comunicazione una sfida complessa.  \nIn aggiunta anche internamente, un accesso facilitato da parte dei ricercatori dell\u2019istituto alla conoscenza e alla documentazione renderebbe le varie fasi del progetto pi\u00f9 rapide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"ai-as-a-tool-to-simplify-scientific-communication\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L'Intelligenza Artificiale come strumento per semplificare la divulgazione scientifica<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La soluzione proposta da Neodata \u00e8 stata quella di usare <strong>l\u2019AI come soluzione a questo problema che richiede una serie di operazioni estremamente complesse se svolte in modo manuale.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il punto di partenza \u00e8 infatti la lettura del patrimonio documentale, ovvero paper scientifici molto tecnici i cui contenuti sono principalmente di interesse per fisici e specialisti del settore.  \nDa questo segue l\u2019attivit\u00e0 di individuazione di quelle parti potenzialmente interessanti per l\u2019ecosistema esterno cos\u00ec da catalogarli per tematiche e combinarli tra loro per creare nuovi contenuti ad-hoc utilizzando anche un linguaggio semplificato ed un tono di voce adeguato. <strong>Natural Language Processing (NLP)<\/strong>, <strong>Large Language Models (LLMs)<\/strong>, incertezza <strong>le tecnologie di gen AI<\/strong> generativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"neodatas-aipowered-advanced-knowledge-base\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Neodata e l\u2019AI: una knowledge base avanzata<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A partire da alcune centinaia di documenti forniti dall\u2019istituto di ricerca, \u00e8 stata creata una <strong>knowledge base<\/strong> che individua e crea i cluster tematici di interesse non strettamente scientifico e li rende accessibili grazie ad un\u2019interfaccia di navigazione che include anche un chatbot a cui porre domande specifiche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019attivit\u00e0 di divulgazione delle attivit\u00e0 di ricerca e il conseguente impatto sull\u2019ecosistema, infatti, \u00e8 sempre pi\u00f9 cruciale anche per progetti molto specifici come questo.<strong> Partendo da un corpus di conoscenza base della documentazione tecnica abbiamo creato un sistema per fornire informazioni in modo mirato, sia a un pubblico esterno che interno al laboratorio.<\/strong> Nel caso specifico i canali di divulgazione non sono saranno solo il web ma anche dei totem fisici nel museo dell'Istituto, su cui verr\u00e0 istallato presto un chatbot in grado di rispondere alle domande e alle curiosit\u00e0 dei visitatori e interagire con essi in maniera personalizzata e adatta al livello di conoscenza di chi ha ricercatori, ma anche per l\u2019ecosistema economico e culturale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dopo alcuni mesi di studio e una fase di sviluppo il sistema \u00e8 stato adesso messo a disposizione dell\u2019ecosistema - con un accesso pubblico da web \u2013 e anche \u2013 tramite un accesso privato - alla comunit\u00e0 di ricercatori del progetto per dare un accesso alle tematiche pi\u00f9 specifiche e tecniche. <strong>Un modo nuovo per divulgare e comunicare, sia internamente che esternamente ai team di progetto<\/strong> che mette in circolo idee, competenze e progetto di raggiungere obiettivi concreti e diversificati.
